Had my Skype interview yday with a 2nd year student.

Started off with WMTYR
Then Why MBA, Why Anderson
A couple of behavioral qs
How would your boss describe you?
What would your mba classmates say about you after graduation? (stumbled a bit on this one)
Any qs for me?

It lasted for 30-35 mins. The interviewer was genuinely friendly and kept it very informal and conversational.
Hope this helps those yet to interview.

So do we think there's a chance that UCLA is handling interview invites like Michigan does (i.e. doing it in waves and pushing out the interview invite dates each week)? My original email from UCLA said interview invites would be sent throughout February and March, which to me doesn't sound like 3/8 would be the last day. Though, it is getting late in the game...Any thoughts?
Seems like invites were going out until very late in the last round, so I wouldn't get worried just yet.

I'm very happy to have gotten my invite earlier this week. My guess is they are opening more slots as more invites get sent out. It seems more have been added since I first checked, and the total number of slots is way too low given UCLA's interview figures, so don't despair! A co-worker of mine wasn't interviewed until mid-April last year.

Another week passed without receiving any invitation. The crew started losing hope. We may look for another planet.

I went in the direction of Battlestar Galactica. Not sure if that's any more or less nerdy.

To everyone still waiting for an invite:

This has been discussed before, but what status message are you seeing when you view your application status? For example, mine currently reads (and has read since submitting) "Your MBA application is being reviewed by our admissions committee and we will contact you if we have any questions." Earlier posts in this thread have reported applicants seeing a change in this message prior to the decision deadline, either shortly before receiving an interview invite, or not (ding?).

Is everyone still waiting on an invitation seeing this same message? This isn't not paranoia/overanalysis, but March is a magical month for R2 people. Your insights are appreciated.

I had my interview this morning on-campus with a 2nd year student. The questions were pretty standard and actually a bit more specific to my resume than I thought they'd be (i.e. less behavioral, more explaining my background and goals but nothing out of the ordinary). Also, the student very specifically asked a lot about why Anderson, even going so far as to ask what classes I wanted to take, professors I wanted to take classes from, and clubs I wanted to join. Everyone do your research! I felt I was pretty prepared and the interview went well, but unfortunately I was 5 minutes late. I'm hoping that doesn't automatically get me a ding, but I'm not optimistic. I'm based in LA and severely underestimated the time it would take me to get there during morning traffic (but really I have no one to blame but myself).

Hello,

How many of you are still awaiting interview calls (both US based and Intl)? I'm fast losing hope as it is already March 6th. Is this typical for UCLA to wait this late to announce interviews or is it safe to assume if it were this late then it is a reject?

Cheers

If it makes you feel any better, I'm still waiting (US based applicant). From scanning the threads for the previous rounds/years, it does seem like Anderson sends out interview invites until right up near the deadline

Anyone else receive an interview invite recently?

Thanks for the overview! Does anyone know if all the Skype interviews are with 2Ys or are some also with members of the admissions committee/alums?

When I spoke with students and a member of Adcom, students and alums conduct Anderson interviews.

Hey Everyone,

1st year Anderson student here. First of all, congrats to those who have been admitted and good luck to those still waiting to hear. I know how brutal the wait can be. I just wanted to let you all know that we are in the planning stages for our Anderson-Days event, to be held April 20-22. We will have some really awesome activities lined up for everyone to see what life at Anderson is like, so I highly suggest you consider attending. We will be sending out the initial survey either today or later this week, so keep an eye out for that. In the meantime, if you have any questions about the event, or Anderson in general, please feel free to email us at Anderson.Days@anderson.ucla.edu. Unfortunately we won't be able to speak to anything admissions related.

Thanks!

In scanning the posts for the previous round, invites seemed to go out up until a week or so prior to the deadline.

That said, nobody on here seems to be posting much about recent invites recently, so i'm not overwhelmingly optimistic. If anyone's received an invite recently, would you mind updating us on when you received it, and how far our interviews are being scheduled?
