That makes sense. They said I could start classes in March, which is the main reason I'm asking. I'm just ready to get started (hopefully).

I asked after starting in April in my interview.

I believe I remember that the two classes starting in April were in focus areas Business Analytics and Digital Marketing.

It was said if we were to start in the summer we would have more time to get our affairs in order. Otherwise it would be rather short notice to have official transcripts etc. sent.

Personally I would also prefer to take a little more time to decide on focus areas, so a summer start works out for me.

Hello,

Very new to MBA Arena. Planning to apply to iMBA at UIUC(I hope it is not too late). I read somewhere but not able to find it now that due to CoVID, it has waived its application fee , deposit.
Did any or all of you who got accepted, have a GMAT score. I have around 6 years experience and 2+ in the USA. I see TOEFL is not required for me. Was wondering if GMAT was required for getting accepted?

Thanks.

I submitted my application 3/1, was interviewed 3/16, and was accepted by the Gies College of Business 3/27. I received official acceptance from the Graduate College 3/31. Still waiting for and considering other online MBA programs though.

Yes, you are correct that the application fee and enrollment deposit are waived due to the pandemic.

A GMAT or GRE score is not required, but it can help your chances if you have lower grades or less work experience. Your work experience is well above the recommended three years. I was accepted with a high GMAT score but less than three years of work experience.

Hi there, I'm a California resident. Submitted my application on 4/1. Received an email on 4/9 to schedule interview. I also applied to San Jose State MBA program, which is evening/weekend classes.

Just had my video interview today and was told I would hear back about decision at end of the month. Surprisingly, I received email end of day "Congrats, You're an Illini!"

Congratulations. I guess business schools are trying to move a lot quicker and fill up classes. By the way, can you post your interview experience in the following link? Thanks.

Perhaps that's the case, but then I also had a good essay and interview.

Yes, I applied to another school before applying to UI but have not heard a decision from them yet. They had just received my official transcripts.

Just curios, can anyone who applied to the iMBA access their recommendation letters submitted online by their recommenders?

I chose that I don't waive my right to access the report but I can only see submission date of the recommendations.
