Hello Everyone,
Just took my first every GMAT, 1 Month of preps, a rather intensive work schedule and managed a score of 690(Q49/V35/IR3/ AWA-Awaited).
After being out of touch from books for almost 6 years, I think this was the max I could go to. And hence had realistic expectations from the exam.
So with GMAT out, the bigger battle is yet to begin, and I need your assistance on profile evaluation and Retake comments.
As everyone says, GMAT is just a part of the puzzle, so does the below content complete the puzzle?

Well, I actually never did it thinking I would use it for applying to a B-School. But in case it adds some merit, here it goes.
Organization- Teach for India
- Was the Young Professional Ambassador for Teach for India (2011-2013) [Parent Org- Teach for America]
- Setup a City Chapter for the same, aided fellowship growth, organized events for promotion, setup corporate tie ups for sabbatical based fellowships.
- Adjudged the Best YPA
Entrepreneurship Experience-
To capitalize on the growing eCommerce boom in India, founded a company in 2011, called
https://www.sprinkolors.com (Still Exists)
-The intent was to promote merchandise for social organizations, and make this as a For Profit Model.
-Ran the company for 2 years, made mistakes, barely made money for operations and in the end pivoted it to bulk manufacturing and integrated with the family
business. All this was done while I was working, so probably the biggest mistake was not quitting the job. But nevertheless, although the online business
collapsed, the company survived.
Other Interests-
- Working in the stock markets in a personal capacity since the last 10 years (eligible age), made lots of money, lost lots of money during sub prime. Follow
financial markets and business economics closely.
- Photography- as a passion, do it on a professional level, have a body of work to showcase.
- Swimming, Basketball, - Not at pro levels, but decent enough to give anyone a decent game.
- Blogging- via Medium.com, any and everything from politics, to economics etc.
Recommendations-
- Top Industry Leaders (C Suite Execs)
- Past clients
Why MBA and Expectations-
- Specialize, add run rate to the profile, prepare for a marathon.
- Post MBA Expectation- Strategy Consulting in Tech Space, Operations. Important to note here is that although we brag about post MBA goals, given a choice I
would prefer to be flexible. Since, I might pick some extremely new and valuable skills during the program which might alter my interests. Businesses evolve \
faster than we think today.
Target Schools- (I have researched less on schools, so kindly help me put perspective to this)
Ross, Kelley, SDA, HEC, Broad, UTD, Vanderbilt, Fisher
Feedback appreciated.
