+1 for B

Split 1:
Idiom used: Substitute X for Y
A, C and E use wrong idiom. Hence, eliminate

Split 2:
Comparison using 'Unlike'
Between B and D, Option D compares Mr. Jackson’s stress to Conservatives. This comparison is wrong

Substitute X for Y is Correct Usage (Left with options B & D), (D) uses possessive, hence eliminated, left with (B) as the Correct Answer.

MANHATTAN REVIEW OFFICIAL EXPLANATION:

The correct preposition to use with ‘substitute’ is ‘for’. Eliminate A, C and E. B is shorter and more efficient than D. Choice B is the correct answer.
