Hey
bbI took a sectional test and it does not take into account the questions I wasn't able to answer because I ran out of time? I can't see those missed questions in the test analytics or how they impact my score. Assumed they would be a part of incorrect.
However, the test page just shows me I wrote the test in 43 mins (which is not true i actually ran out of time) and it was 18 questions (again incorrect because I wasn't able to mark like 3 questions towards the end.)
How would I know if this scoring is accurate then? Could you help me out?
Hi. Your unmarked questions do not appear in the summary - they are used later on for future tests to keep the pool as big as possible (e.g. in case you decide to end the test on question 10 for example for some reason).
The test 43 mins is for answered questions only and did not capture the last question which was left unanswered - it is confusing and something we will be touching on soon. I have had it for a few months on the list to address.
The score you got was reduced by 5 percentiles. That's how our algorithm was designed to handle it based on the old algorithm approach. However, I have recently attempted a number of GMAT Prep tests and it seems they reduce your score by about 4-5 points. Still to be verified as I am in the middle of my last test
P.S. You don't want to leave questions unanswered. They hurt you usually much more than guessing and you have to click confirm. Just choosing an answer is not good enough.
