Hi Himanshu,

What I would suggest doing is researching (starting with the schools'website) what the placement rate is for consulting and also, talking to current students/alumni at each school about that experience with consulting recruiting. Regarding the working visa issue - this is going to vary by company and country so you'll want to speak to the schools' career services office about this.

Best of luck!
Nisha

Hi, and congrats on your scholarship and admits! One big consideration is: where do you want to work after graduation? If you'd prefer to be US-based, you'd be better off with GWU. If you're leaning towards Europe, then you'll have a better chance building a network at Smurfit. Schools' alumni bases/recruitment pipelines tend to be geographically based, so think carefully about where you would like to live.

Hope that helps a bit - keep me posted on any other questions :)

Hello Experts,

I have an admit in GWU for the class of 2019 with 30,000 USD scholarship (again upto). I also have an admit from Michale Smurfit Graduate Business School Ireland (50%scholarship).

I am confused and unable to decide between the two. Experts on the forum could you please help me in selecting one in this conundrum.

Information about me:

Nationality : Indian
Post MBA Goal : Option 1-> Consulting in Big 5
Option 2-> I am inclined in pursing my MAM(Master of Adv Management ) degree from Yale. Yale selects students from the GNAM schools( of which Smurfit is one).
Total work Ex : 4 years.
Age : 26years.
GMAT score. : 630 (giving the exam again as consulting companies require a good GMAT score).

Hoping to get some expert suggestions considering both the options.

Regards,
Himanshu

Hi Nisha,

Thanks for your response. Personally i do not have any location preferences. I want to get in the big 5 consulting companies.

I would like to go for a school which would provide me with the above mentioned job / networking opportunities.

Also would like to go to a place where there are a fewer working visa issues.

Considering above factors, which school should i go for?

Regards,
Himanshu
