Vonska,

Good luck! :)
(you'll be fine.)

by the way, are you having an interview with Cathy Cowen?

Ninkorn,

the deadline is March 1, but they usually close the window earlier I heard.

she ate me alive...

im kidding it went well. she asked exactly why I wanted to do macc and i simply gave her my reasons (to get into tax law). she told me that mbt might be more suited to exactly what im looking for. she also wants to set me up with a chat session with some of the professors in the program who are tax attorneys. all in all she was very nice and i think things went rather smoothly. i think ill definitely matriculate if i get accepted officially.

whats the update on you guys, Intern, yale person?

o sorry i forgot to mention, i interviewed with Shirley Maxey.

Congratulations and thanks, Vonska!
so, your interview was with Shirley? was it formal or casual?
will you be doing the summer intensive?
(I'm asking many questions.. sorry.. )

My status still hasn't changed from "submitted," (at least, it is not "incomplete.")
I guess only October-November applications (R1) are being replied.

meanwhile, I also submitted my application to UT Austin and Cal State, Fullerton.

I'll also be attending USC!
690 GMAT
3.86 GPA
1/2 scholarship

Had my interview in December and accepted admission in January. It's kinda late, but I just stumbled upon this forum, so for those who are still waiting on the interview, don't stress over it. As long as your credentials are good, it's a breeze.

hey everyone, congrats to those who got accepted and good luck to those waiting.

I submitted my app on March 1st and will impatiently wait for an answer! I applied with a low undergrad gpa of 3.3 from UCSD but hopefully my 4.0 at ucla extension accounting classes will help. I scored a 690 on the gmat with a 5.5 on the essays. Does anyone know how long it takes to receive a response?

That usually depends on the application volume and whether your application package is complete.

Since your stats are relatively stronger than average applicant, you should hear an interview invite within 2 to 3 weeks from the time your application package went "complete"

USC interviews all their "qualified' applicants.

thanks for the input! So are you planning to take level 2 in June? I passed level 1 this past December but I am very unsure about my chances this upcoming june. Are you using the schweser materials?

Best applicants at USC hear back from adcom as soon as 1 week after the interview date. Notification of admit is via email. Sometimes, the website status changes before you receive the email.

Other admits hear back within 3 to 4 weeks. This depends on the application volume, each student's stats, profile and etc.

So seems like people usually get an invite for an interview within 3-4 weeks if your application looks pretty good, right?
My application was completed on Jan 10, 2009. Does this mean I don't really stand a chance of getting accepted to the USC MAcc?
GMAT 650
GPA 3.96
undergrad: Marketing & Management
I think I have pretty decent GMAT and GPA, but it could be because my undergrad is from a small state university in Georgia. I got accepted from UIUC in mid Jan. Does the undergrad university really make a difference on the application at USC? Or my essay was just so bad. I applied as an international student, but I currently live in LA. I'm curious if the evaluation is the same between US and International applicants. It should be though, right?

Every qualified USC applicants get interviewed. I don't think undergrad pedigree has anything to do with it. Anything that you can think of why you weren't invited for an interview yet?
