Actually just out of curiosity. You say you have 12th and 13th edition, and now you are planning to buy 10th edition.

Any reason why you would not want to first buy the 11th edition. I mean..is there too much overlap of 11th edition with the 12th & 13th edition?

This information will also help me decide which books to buy.

I figured that the farther back I go, the less redundancy I'll find; I may end up getting OG11 if I feel like I have enough time however.

What I have figured is that in going back I would get a few hundred unique problems, which sounds good to me, especially since many people have already done the hard work in parsing out which problems are overlaps and which ones aren't. As I've looked at the list I've seen a number of problems from OG10 that have stayed in the books and prep material ever since so I am going out on a limb and assuming that overall, OG10 is not too outdated to use as a resource.

The one drawback I see is that the OG10 material is still used in the GMATPrep tests so I am planning on waiting until after I take those tests to use any new material from it.

When I do use OG10 someone here has already helpfully parsed out the unique problems: unique-questions-og-12-vs-11-10-verbal-quant-2nd-vs-1st-125741.html?fl=similar

Hi marymary,

If you are looking for below 700 level questions then I don't see a reason not to buy an older OG and practice. However, it seems like you've already done a lot of preparations already and if you are not finding the questions in the OGs challenging, then you should probably buy books that have harder questions than the OG.
