I am a guy who works as a engineer for a tobacco processing and cigarette manufacturing plant...basically FMCG sector. I handle the operations and maintenance of factory utilities (both electrical and mechanical) and services. I have also been involved in design of maintenance systems and some engineering projects...though not very large scale projects. I am also responsible for resource conservation initiatives at the factory such as Green Factory...energy savings...water conservation....sustainability in operations etc.For some time I have also handled maintenance spares sourcing and control of inventory at factory level
My question is...What could be my post MBA goals....both short term and long term. Any pointers in this regard would be very useful. I have a GMAT score of 710 and 4.5 yrs of experience which is mostly as described above.
Well... what do you want to do? Your goals could be anything... manufacturing engineers go to all sorts of roles - consulting, banking, marketing, corp. fin., etc.
MBA is one of, if not the last chance to make a major career change - you might as well go to something that you want to do.
