Hi,

Yes you are correct. I'll add one caveat that this option choice assumes the very thing we need it to support which doesnt make it a strong option: "...anticipating higher demand."

Hope this helps!

Can we say all other options support the sale of novel someway or the other ,while C does not talk about the sale of novel and only suggests high no of copies printed which doesn’t guarantee its sale ...hence option C ?

I ended up chosing option D as it stated : D. Several top critics who previewed the film have praised its faithfulness to the novel, potentially increasing viewers' interest in reading the original book.
Chose it primarily because it mentions original book. However what I missed was the phrase "has been out of print for nearly fifteen years" - So that means any intrest in reading original book leads to purchase of the now available - new edition!!

Can anyone help with any way to not miss such a thing.

Bunuel
A major film studio announced the release date of a movie based on a novel that, though it was a bestseller when first published, has been out of print for nearly fifteen years. Hoping to capitalize on the anticipated success of the film, the publisher who owns the copyright on the novel plans to print a new edition to be made available the same week the film premieres.

EACH of the following, if true, supports the soundness of the publisher’s plan to capitalize on the success of the film EXCEPT

A. The publisher has received permission from the film studio to stamp the words “Now a major motion picture” on the cover of each book.
B. The publisher has received reports that film adaptations tend to increase interest in and sales of their source novels, particularly when the novels were previously bestsellers.
C. The publisher has used the advance payment received from the film studio to secure a large initial print run of the novel, anticipating higher demand.
D. Several top critics who previewed the film have praised its faithfulness to the novel, potentially increasing viewers' interest in reading the original book.
E. A recent survey showed that many fans of the novel are excited about the film adaptation and plan to purchase the new edition upon its release.

Hi,
A helpful way to approach this question is to be very clear about what we are evaluating. The task is to find the option that does not support the soundness of the publisher’s plan
- We are looking for an option that either doesn't have a clear impact on the publisher's plan or weakens the plan
A good test is to ask for each option:
>> Does this make it more likely that people will buy the new edition of the book?

If an option: increases demand, signals reader interest, or shows the film will drive book sales,
then it supports the plan.

Hope this helps!
