But there are 2-3 questions of Official GMAT in which there is should/may present in that part of suggest even though suggest is subjunctive term. Even this exception for suggest is mentioned in Manhattan SC book as well. So should is correct and is not treated as redundant with suggest.

A. we should replace chips and sweetened soft drinks with healthier raw vegetables, fruits, whole-grain biscuits and low-fat cheese.
B. one replaces chips and sweetened soft drinks for healthier raw vegetables, fruits, whole-grain biscuits and low- fat cheese.
C. we replace chips and sweetened soft drinks with healthier raw vegetables, fruits, whole-grain biscuits and low-fat cheese.
D. us replace chips and sweetened soft drinks with healthier raw vegetables, fruits, whole-grain biscuits or low-fat cheese.
E. we replace chips as well as sweetened soft drinks with healthier raw vegetables including fruits, whole-grain biscuits and low-fat cheese.


A - The use of 'suggest' and 'should' in the same sentence is an error of redundancy.

B – 'Replaces' is incorrect since we need 'replace'. Also you replace one thing 'with' another and not 'for' another.

D – The use of 'us' is incorrect since the sentence needs the subject form 'we' and not the object form 'us'.

E – Unnecessarily wordy and changes the meaning.

Here I have a doubt regarding "we".
In some sources it is mentioned that "we" needs an antecedent!
Is "we" referring to "Nutritionists" here?
any ideas?

Subjunctive Verb:
Suggest + that + subject + subjunctive verb
(A): Error: "should": suggest rarely is used with "should" and "may"
(B): Error: "replaces"
(C): Correct
(D): Error: "us"
(E): Error: different meaning and wordy

Doesn't this have comma splice error :
we replace chips and sweetened soft drinks with healthier raw vegetables, fruits, whole-grain biscuits and low-fat cheese.
According to me it should be:
we replace chips and sweetened soft drinks with healthier raw vegetables, fruits, whole-grain biscuits, and low-fat cheese.
