Hi, I wanted to know how much will a transition to career as a product manager help me standout because of my background as a male Indian engineer in IT. 3 years experience as SD and less than1 year as a PM right now.

I remember speaking to one of the Adcom members at the top Canadian University who said that having prior experience as PM does aid in job search.

But if you're asking about diversity and overrepresentation, you're still a Indian Male IT engineer to them. But, the employability points might still go up, so that is still a plus, right? Curious though, are you planning to apply for MBA this year?
