Hi zenkovaelizaveta,

Unfortunately, trying to define your overall Verbal skills by creating your own 'Verbal sections' in the way that you describe is not realistic, since your 'samples' don't adapt nor do they necessarily follow the 'ratio' of question sub-types that you will see on the Official GMAT. The only way to properly assess how you might score on the Official GMAT is to take FULL-LENGTH CATs/mocks under realistic conditions that match-up with what you will face when you take the Official GMAT. With that type of data, we can properly plan out how you should be studying going forward.

Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How long have you studied? How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) What study materials have you used so far?
3) On what dates did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
4) What is your overall goal score?
5) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

Hi Rich,

thanks for your response,

1) I’ve been studying for 5 weeks now , per week it hasn’t been much, around 14 hours I guess (2 hours daily). But now with the deadline coming gonna increase it to 4 hours/day
2) Official Guide; Manhattan prep for Q part
3) I have not taken Mock exam yet, as I thought my skills are not sufficient to take the full version

Regarding goals
4) I would like to score 690+
5) The application deadline of the stage I am going to apply at is 4/11. However if I do not manage to get the result I need(690+) I will make another attempt in the next stage.
I am applying to London Business School and Imperial College London for their Masters programmes

Goals:
4) What is your overall goal score?
5) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

Hi zenkovaelizaveta,

Since you are so close to your planned Test Date, we really need to see a score result from a FULL-LENGTH CAT (so that we can assess your current skills, strengths and weaknesses). As such, I strongly recommend that you take one of the Official GMAC CATs sometime soon (perhaps this weekend) and take it in a realistic fashion (take the FULL CAT - with the Essay and IR sections, at the same time of day as when you'll take the Official GMAT, if you're going to a Test Center, then wear a face mask, etc.). Once you have that Score, you should report back here (or you can feel free to PM me directly) and we can discuss the restyles and how you might best proceed with your studies.

Hi zenkovaelizaveta,

I also think it's a good idea to take a full-length practice exam to get a baseline score. Once you do so, feel free to report back here with your score breakdown, and I can provide some further advice.

Good luck!
