Hi Rohan/Akela,
Thanks for your reply.
Yeah I did get an ESR. Following is the breakup of my verbal section:
CR: 63 %ile
RC: 47%ile
SC: 77%ile

Honestly I did not prepare much for RC due to lack of time, thinking it would be fine. Bad bad call. Looks like I missed lot of questions where it asks for the inferred idea. Hoping these resources are going to help me fill some of the conceptual gaps I have in all the three sections.

Thanks,
Souvik

Hi,
I gave my GMAT last Friday with a score of 670 (V33; Q49). I am looking to improve my verbal score, so currently in search for the right resources.
I have narrowed down to two books for each of the sub-sections now based on the feedback from you guys, will take the final call:
CR: PowerScore CR Bible or Manhattan CR
RC: Aristotle RC Grail or Manhattan RC
SC: Aristotle SC Grail or Manhattan SC

Thanks in advance,
Souvik

Besides these books, if you need some additional resource you can check the below link

Hi Souvik,

Your question presumes that the most effective resources for you will be book-based, but that might not actually be the case. Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How long have you studied?
2) What study materials have you used so far?
3) How have you scored on EACH of your CATs (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
4) What is your goal score?
5) When are you planning to take the GMAT?
6) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
7) What Schools are you planning to apply to?

While the ESR doesn't provide a lot of information, there are usually a few data points that we can use to define what went wrong (and what you should work on to score higher). If you send me your ESR (you can PM or email it to me), then I'll be happy to analyze it for you.

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich

Hi souvikgmat1990,

Are you looking at only these books or are you also considering self-study courses?
