Felt relieved today.... Hit the 600 mark.I was hoping to get 650 this time. :(

I was down and out after my 1st gmat.I subscribed to gmatclub tests. I have improved much on Quant and a bit on Verbal.
GMATClub tests have helped a lot .I did not have much time to prepare between the 2 attempts. I just went through 6 tests in study mode.

My GMAT journey has not ended yet ....This time, I plan to 'actually' take the tests...Please suggest how I can improve my quant from 44 to 48+.
I have a month's time. For Verbal,I use Grockit+egmat. Have solved close to 750 Verbal questions (SC accuracy :75%,CR:72%,RC:55% , Overall :70 % Accuracy ) on Grockit. Was hoping to see a score of 35 on Verbal, but ended up with 28.

Can I set a target of 680.? Is it possible to improve quant and verbal in a month's time.What do you guys think.How should I go about it .
More practice tests??

There are lots of factors involved. The short answer is yes, but you should be able to tell based on your practice tests. I would focus on the materials and studying and take another one in 2 weeks only (unless you are bad at test taking, no reason to waste time and energy on a test since it takes 3 hrs on a test and then another few hrs to review)

So,should I limit the number of practice tests to just 2-3 ?
How will I be to assess my improvement then :? I have only a month's time since I will be applying by March end .

I feel timing was an issue the 2nd time in Verbal . I did ok in Math,I feel that I need to practice more GMATClub tests to
improve from Q44 to Q49+.I plan to take more practice tests this time..What do you think abt this?

Solving a lot practice tests in one month is not going to help a lot .
2-3 tests under timed conditions and a thorough review of your mistakes will surely help you improve your score.
You seem to be already doing good in quant. 1 months time is surely enough to improve your verbal score.

Hi

Question that you should ask to yourself before beginning the prep are:-
1. Was timing a issue?

Soln: Start practicing more timed sets..grockit and gmat club tests are the best source ...Devise timing strategy that suits you best.

2. Did you lack basic approach to a some type of questions?

Soln: need to improve on approach....search for approaches to those type of question....Karishma in Quants and Vercules or any other in verbal can help you...

3. were you nervous?

Soln: Take test more often.

4. Do you lack in practice?

Soln; Buy official official pack of question from mba.com or gmat paper test....

In a nutshell, if you have reached 600 that means you can for sure achieve 650 and 68 is just 30 points away from the mark ie.....Q 47 and verbal 34 so its not that tough ..you need to improve 3 points on quant and 6 points on verbal....e-gmat verbal live prep may help you...

By the way congrats on 150 points improvement........
