Hi guys,

I went in for my second attempt a few weeks back and the behavior and incompetence of the staff at the center was appalling and, at least acc. to me, unacceptable. I have raised a complaint about this to Pearson and I got an email 4 days later saying they are presently investigating and will update me when there is an update.

Just wanted to ask members here if anyone knows how long do they usually take to complete their investigation. Also, what is usually the outcome of such investigations? I've read stories where some people got their exams rescheduled. Don't think that's gonna happen but just wanted to ask what can I expect to come out of this?

Thanks!
They made noteboard replacement difficult for you, if I remember correctly. Unfortunately, the GMAC doesn't normally get to hear about things like this, and Pearson support just kicks it up the chain until you get an final NO from their side (3-4 weeks). At least that's what I've seen in similar cases. Attempts to contact the GMAC from the student's side typically don't get a response, but I strongly suggest that you try. You'll need to be (very) patient though. It takes a lot to get Pearson to admit that they got something wrong.

Thank you Rich, Janielle and AjiteshArun for your replies. As it stands, I've heard back from Pearson and they got back to me fairly quickly. And as expected, they essentially denied any wrongdoing on their part. I got a fairly concise and a fairly vague reply to the issues I had raised and they are essentially going by whatever the test administrator told them.

I've written back to them to get some specific answers and seek clarity on the issues I raised. Thank you AjiteshArun for the info, I intend to contact GMAC once I've heard back from Pearson again. I understand it might take a quite and I might not hear from them all, but it's already done and I've nothing to lose.

I'll update this thread once I hear back from Pearson. Again, thank you guys for your inputs.

Hi GhostA,

It's unfortunate, but these types of situations do sometimes happen. Going forward, you can use your experience to better prepare for your next attempt though. You might try booking your next appointment at a different facility. If you have no other choice but to retest at this same location, then you know what you're likely to 'run into' on Test Day, so you can mentally prepare for the hassles.

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,

Thank you Rich. I would be be taking the test at a different test center location as I'm certain just being at the same location is gonna bring back the bad experience I had there. I'm also practicing mental toughness to try and ensure that in case something unexpected/unpleasant happens, I don't let it affect my test performance.

Thank you for your support. I'll update this once I hear more from Pearson.
