Hi kreel11,
There are a couple of details in your post that stand out as potentially problematic:
1) Your studies appear to be 'book heavy'; many Test Takers who use a 'book heavy' study plan end up getting 'stuck' at a particular scoring level, so you might want to invest in some non-book resources.
2) Have you taken any practice CATs yet? From your post, it sounds like you might not have taken any. Taking FULL-LENGTH CATs (with the Essay and IR sections) at regular intervals (1 FULL CAT every 1-2 weeks) is an essential part of the study process. Those results will help you to track your improvement and give you an idea of how well-versed you are in the various content and Tactics that the GMAT tests.
Your general plan to not get too deep into any 'advanced' materials yet is a reasonable idea.
1) What is your goal score?
2) When are you planning to take the GMAT?
GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
