Hello,
My Name is Nadeem from Dubai, a newbie to the GMAT Club.
I have finally decided to pursue my MBA plans after 4 years of Professional life.
I am aiming to give my GMAT exams by April 15, 2017 and because of my work nature I cant afford to have class room coaching as I travel a lot.
So I am planning to do Self Study and taking my previous academic experience I think am not bad at self study, lol.
So I have bought the following GMAT books to start with:
1.
MGMAT Strategy Guides, 0-9 All of them
2. GMAT OG 2016
3. Kaplan (freebie from my friend who took the Gmat in 2015)
I am basically looking at 750+, I know quite an ambitious, sky high target, but hey remember Niel Armstrong set his foot on the moon then why not aim for the stars
By the way I can allocate 2-3 hours for studying on a week day and about 3-5 hours on weekend.
Being a non-native English speaker I think I might struggle at the verbal part of the GMAT, though I studied with English as my primary language subject all my life. On the plus side I am reasonably good with Numbers, used to quite do well in Maths back in the Uni and School, also I deal with numbers everyday in my work. My weak point in Qunat could be quadratic equations as its been 4 years since I touched them.
To Summarize:Target Score 750+,
Study Type: Self Study
ETA to GMAT Exam: 135 Days
Hours of Study Per day: 2 Hours, 3-5 Hours on Weekend
Positive: Number Game Strong
Weakness:
Non-Native English Speaker, so Verb could be an issue
Quadratic
So thats about it, looking forward to suggestions on self study material if the above is not sufficient, self study methods or mechanism from previous GMAT Takers and just to help my motivations level would appreciate if you could share some self study success stories.
Regards
Nadeem Mohammed
