I made a terrible mistake - did quant, verbal and just put random basis IR then pressed end exam twice at writing - not realizing that the program would not score and even save my answers! Waisted completely precious time!

You can reset the exam if you feel you need to do it again.
You can also review the answers that you have chosen.

Problem is that I can't review the answers - this option is not available...

Did you receive a score after completing the test?
In that case, you should be able to review the answers as well.

GMATprep allows review of Verbal, Quant and IR.
Only AWA cannot be reviewed

No score, no answers and questions, nothing... just a note - that exam was ended

Whoops.
Then I guess, you may have to reset the test and retake it.

I suggest that you take the second test and then reset it. So that one test at least will be properly scored. If you reset now, you may find repeat questions again in both the test. If you do it later, you can salvage at least one, but at the cost of increasing probability of getting repeat questions.

Yes, I reloaded the test but is bad I already did test #3, so, now I reloaded had in verbal sections about 5 questions from #3 (think so) and about 7 questions from the test that I wasted. But for arithmetical - I either do not remember or they have larger database - I can't recall, if I had repeated question from test # 4 (that I wasted) and may be, a couple from #3 but I am not sure..

I think you hit the reset button before attempting the next test. What ss3617 was trying to say is that if you go ahead with the next test (without resetting the pack), you will be able to get at least one "fresh" test.

No, I already took 3rd test before that so it was not an option unforunately....

Hello all,

I have a very important doubt. Kindly clarify the same?

The Exam Pack 1 and 2 contains 2 free tests.
It also has 90 practice questions, right?

If I attempt those 90 practice questions, will I again encounter them in tests 1 and 2? Or does 1&2 contain questions which are completely different from the free 90 practice questions?

Please help me out here.

Those are different sets of questions. You can attempt the 90 free practice questions without a worry.

sorry to revive this basic thread, I am a little confused now, there was another user that suggested the OP to do the following. are exam packs from gmat different than the free practice exam 1 and 2 plus that 90 questions?
I tried searching in the thread using keyword but I guess my brain is just wired different when it comes to key words
why take the CAT in exam pack out of order? I was just planning on purchasing the official practice exam 3 thru 6 after I am done with the 1and2. Not sure where this guy got the cat-4 5 and 6 from..the OP only took one practice from the EP1..

yes. the repeat questions might inflate the score. so here is the order in which CATs should be taken:
CAT-4 (exam pack-1)
CAT-5 (exam pack-2)
CAT-6 (exam pack-2)
CAT-3 (exam pack-1) - essentially a repeat but not much inflation if Gaurav did not analyse the first attempt then he wouldn't remember the questions and answers by this time.

As these are official CATs that predict the most reliable scores, Attempt to these should be spread out well in the entire prep time. so depending on prep time, following order can help:
CAT-4 (exam pack-1)
MGMAT (CAT-1)
CAT-5 (exam pack-2)
MGMAT (CAT-2)
CAT-6 (exam pack-2)
MGMAT (CAT-3)
CAT-3 (exam pack-1)
MGMAT (CAT-4) (there are total 6 MGMAT CATs though)

I cannot understand what you’re asking. Try formulating your thoughts into a question and make it brief if you want people to answer.

Mb my thoughts are so scattered because I do not understand some of the feedback from one/two of the users on the thread you commented on.
Are the EP1/EP2 exams different from the free official practice exams and the remaining 4 that one could purchase? just reread it, and someone answered that.
are there any benefits in taking those exams in a specific order? there are some comments about the exams, EP1/Ep2 the 2 gmat practice exams that are free, etc., drawing questions from different databases.
this was the thread you were on.

Hi M838TE,

My advice: don't worry too much about the order in which you take those tests. The first two tests may be slightly better, but it's not as if there's a huge difference. They're all good.

A. GMAT™ Official Starter Kit + Practice Exams 1 & 2 (Free) does not really include two separate tests. It's just a database of questions from which two tests are created. This database is bigger than (B) and (C), but it contains older questions than (B) and (C).

B. GMAT™ Official Practice Exams 3 & 4 does not really include two separate tests. It's just a database of questions from which two tests are created. This database is smaller than (A), but it most likely contains newer questions than (A).

C. GMAT™ Official Practice Exams 5 & 6 does not really include two separate tests. It's just a database of questions from which two tests are created. This database is smaller than (A), but it most likely contains newer questions than (A) and (B).

Newer questions may be useful if you've done a lot of test prep material that is built around older GMAT questions, but otherwise, there is no need to prioritize newer questions. That is, the questions in tests 1 & 2 (A) are absolutely fine. I think the bigger pool of questions in (A) is a definite advantage, though. I normally ask my students to keep one of those tests for later in their prep. (B) and (C) are pretty much equivalent.
