The At-home version of the GMAT has gone through a number of changes recently. The Exam is now run by a different company and is far more similar to the traditional Test Center option (re: it includes the AWA/Essay, two 8-minute breaks and the section-order options). That having been said, there are still a number of 'tech issues' that people have experienced.
As an aside, your 690/Q49 is a fantastic Score, so it could be enough to get you into your first-choice School. Have you applied to any Programs with that Score? If not, then what are you current application and/or study plans?
