BACKGROUND:
I graduated in July of 2021 from University of Delhi where I majored in commerce. I'll be giving GMAT for the first time on 23rd August, 2021. I started preparing with Magoosh in June and after a week of going through the material, I gave the GMAT prep practice exam and scored 550 (Q33, V33). My foundations in both quant and verbal were extremely weak.
I gave a Manhattan Prep GMAT Exam today (8th August) and scored 630 (Q42, V34).
During my preparation, I focused mostly on quant and not as much on verbal.

PANIC:
I'm feeling very nauseous because of the Exam. There's a huge fear of failure within me. I already feel that I will perform poorly on the exam.
I have questions like the following:
->What if I don't get my desired score?
->Did I do enough?
->How will I carry the burden of not scoring well?
->What if I just panic during the exam?
->What if I'm just dumb and that I'll never score well?

I'm questioning my entire preparation and reading stories of people who bombed their first attempt as well and then later scored 700+

With fewer than 2 weeks left for the exam, I have no clue of what to do next.

Anxiety and that too at this stage is not a good sign and can never be helpful. So, you have two options
1) If you can delay, go ahead and postpone your exam. Work on your weak areas that you may have felt in your prep till now. Yes, do not neglect one part at the cost of other.
2) If, for some reason, you want to move ahead with the exam day, then anxiety is the last thing that you want. Prepare in your weak areas and go in the exam with a belief that you would be able to get your score. And, if god forbid, you do not get your score, you always have another chance, a chance that will make you stronger.

Have faith in yourself and try to calm your nerves. I know it is difficult but do not take this exam to be all and end all. You can always take another shot at it.

Thank you so much Chetan!
Unfortunately, I can't delay this particular attempt but I will try to calm my nerves before the exam.

I am in the same boat as you, although I've taken the GMAT once before (bombed this one due to massive anxiety haha). My next attempt is in 3 weeks and the fear of failure has started to kick in again but it's ok...I've 6 more attempts left.

HAVE FAITH. DO NOT LET GMAT RUIN YOUR MENTAL PEACE. IT AINT WORTH IT. We shall make it, my friend.
Kudos and all the best!

Hi armaankumar,

I know you may nervous but trust in yourself and trust that you have done all you can to succeed on the GMAT. Regarding how to move forward, I think it would be helpful to take a few official practice exams. Also, since you are nervous, here is a helpful article you can check out:
