"Harvesting of exam questions" is an informal term in an academic context that refers to the collection, sharing, and potential memorization of actual questions from past or current examinations for the purpose of an unfair advantage on future assessments. This practice is a form of academic misconduct.

Did anyone launch a complaint against you ? Or anything of those sorts ? And again i am curious about what evidence one can submit to prove the same ? Did you post questions answers on any forum / website / online platform ? Basically sharing questions which haven’t retired yet.

This is crazy. How would they track it over two years. I am super surprised.

It seems like they wouldn’t have done this lately and it seems like they’re very specific with the reason... pretty crazy

I haven't posted/share any questions from the exam and I followed all the protocols given by the Proctor. Do you have any idea what to write in the appeal and what sort of evidence do they have because it's bizarre and impossible what they're saying

This is definitely an unusual situation.

Usually people who harvest questions this for the sake of harvesting and not taking the exam and applying.

The fact that you have applied and went to school is a strong indicator you had a legitimate reason for the score and not harvesting questions, and mention that you are a current MBa student and that you only took the gmat once or however many times. I would also include your practice scores from gmat prep account if you can get to them.

I don’t know that the school you attending would take any action but I would proactively notify them (in case GMAC contacts them which they will likely do). And pre empt it with a messaging of a mistake / etc.

I'd like to know what do you mean by preemptively emailing my university? Apparently they also accept GRE too so i submitted my GRE as well in case if that's what they would consider because it exactly matches with the requirement. Also, do you think it's wise to wait for the final verdict from GMAT before contacting university? Also, in appeal if i refute everything, how would they proceed with it with the evidence and stuff?

I'm sorry for many questions but I'm currently stress af!

What ended up happening to you?

Hey,

So today I received an email from GMAT that due to the harvesting of exam questions detected during your exam, the score for your GMAT exam will be canceled. I've been banned for five years and I'm currently studying at a university and they needed GMAT scores tobbe submitted at the time of admission. My visa is tied to the university student status. My exam was smooth and the fact that they do it after two year sis bizarre.

Wtf is actually wrong here with them? Anyone please help!!! I'm freaking out.
