Stuck at 695 - 725 Range on official mocks

Question

Hi Guys,

I have given 3 mocks in the last 15 days and the scores have been -

675 (Gmat club free)
695 (Official mock 1 retake )
725 (Official mock 2) - I did get an MSR question which I had done earlier (Q89, V85, D84)

In Official mock 2 my only mistake in QA was a very silly one I had completed my test 10 mins prior and the question that I got wrong I selected the value for variable a instead of b (knew both values)

In VA - CR has been a pain for quite some time, I get questions randomly wrong and get stuck in the last 2 options.

In DI - time is an issue, got stuck on a question which ate 5 mins ended up guessing the last 3.

Any tips in how can I improve?

DI is a tricky especially MSR .. the best case scenario is guess and move to next question...

man you are at the best of level in MOCKS go get the exam and score 705+

I would expect you to take Mock 3 and 4 of the Official GMAT and see how your score goes and then take the exam.

675 to 725 in 15 days is a solid trend, you're clearly doing more right than wrong here. The variable mix up on quant near the end is a fatigue tell more than a content gap, honestly. This test is less about whether you can do the math and more about whether you can tell which math to do, and that skill is the first thing to slip when you're tired. Worth checking whether it happens more in the last third of quant specifically.

The CR pattern you're describing, getting it right in your head but picking wrong between the last two, is the exact same thing I fought for months. It usually means you're evaluating the two survivors against each other instead of against the question stem. Go back and read the stem one more time, slower, before you choose between the final two. Sounds too simple, but it catches a surprising number of these.

For DI, the 5 minutes you lost on one question is the real story, not the accuracy. Try timed section practice where you cap yourself around 90 seconds and force a guess past that, even in practice. It trains the instinct to bail before it costs you the whole section.

I'm trying to do the same in CR, still struggling a bit - the same thing sometimes struggling with 2 options sometimes just not understanding the conclusion.

I also come down to last 2 options in CR and end up marking the wrong answer many a times. especially in strengthen and assumption questions
