Hi vrinda6,

Thanks for writing in.

At this point, your focus should be on working on your GMAT. Simultaneously, focusing on your need for MBA and what you intend to do after will be equally crucial. Every business school you apply to will want to understand why you need a second MBA so it is important you deliberate on the same.

Chances of success will depend on:
(1) Your GMAT score, achievements
(2) How well your articulate why you need another MBA.

Should you feel the need for a detailed profile evaluation, please feel free to reach out to us for a free strategy session.

All the best!

I am 28 years old from India.

I have done my Bachelor's from Delhi University and have already done my MBA but not from a good school. The decisio to do MBA from there was because of some unfortunate personal circumstances.

Since then I have primarily worked in Marketing domain (dont like HR or Finance) and have done good. I have now approx 4.5 years of experience with good brand names on my resume.

Apart from that, I have a strong affinity towards building my own projects, have been part of the dramatic society in college for 3 years, have done quite non-profit internships, constantly looking to upskill myself.

I have been a top grade student all through my life and because of that I have not been able to let go of the fact that I settled for a mediocre education in my post grad. Hnece my motivation to prepare for GMAT.

I have given two mocks 575 and 635 (recent) with minimum preparation but aiming to give my exam in June 2026.

I have no shortlists of schools or idea but I do know that I am looking for Europe or Singapore as my next step. I would definitely require to fund a large portion of my expenses with scholarships. I am also yet to figure out if I just do another MBA or master's program.

vrinda6 - Given that you've already completed an MBA, it'd be crucial to have honest and thought through answers to: why a second MBA, why now, what are the gaps that you're looking to fill, and what are your short-term and long-term career goals.

Your professional experience looks interesting overall (though more details can help assess better), so aim to complement it with a strong GMAT score and a robust narrative.

Hope this helps. Feel free to reach out for a discussion.

Regards,
Arvind

Hi vrinda6,
You’re in a solid position. 4.5 years of marketing experience with good brands, strong academics, and extracurriculars all work in your favor.
Your previous MBA isn’t a dealbreaker—what matters is how you position your growth and clarify your goals.
Focus on:
  • GMAT ~685+ for competitive schools and scholarships
  • A clear career story and post-MBA goals
Europe/Singapore are realistic, but choosing between MBA vs master’s depends on your ROI and goals.
With the right strategy, you can move to a much stronger brand—worth discussing in a quick consult.

Hi vrinda6
Priyanka here from ARINGO. Speaking about your profile, you are actually in a much better spot than you think. The “second MBA” concern is real, but not a dealbreaker, especially for Europe/Singapore, where schools are more open to candidates who already have an MBA if there’s a clear reason, could be a better brand, career acceleration, or geography shift. Your 4+ years in marketing + strong brands + consistent academics + extracurriculars give you a solid base.

Right now, your biggest levers are:
  • GMAT: your mock jump from 575 → 635 is a great sign; pushing it further to 655+ will really open doors + scholarships
  • Clarity on goals: marketing/brand/strategy roles vs something broader
  • Program choice: you should also explore 1-year MBAs like INSEAD, LBS, IE, ESADE and also some specialised masters (marketing/management), depending on positioning
If you’d like, feel free to schedule a quick call, happy to help you figure out the right programs and a clear strategy forward.

Good Luck!

The jump from 575 to 635 on minimal prep is a really good signal. You're clearly capable of pushing that higher, and you should. Aim for 665 or better by June. That puts you solidly in range for strong European programs and meaningful scholarship conversations.

The second MBA question will come up in every application, but it's not the obstacle you think it is. Europe cares less about it than the U.S. does, especially if your story is about momentum, not regret. The narrative that works is simple: you've built a strong marketing career since your first MBA, you've outgrown your geography, and you want access to a global network and brand that matches where you're headed next. Don't apologize for the past degree. Just show them what you've done since.

The real decision in front of you is whether you need another MBA or a specialized master's. If you want to stay in marketing and move into strategy or brand leadership, a one-year European MBA makes sense. If you're happy in marketing and just want a credential refresh, a master's in marketing or digital strategy is faster and cheaper. That choice should drive your school list, not the other way around.
