Age : 21 Work exp : 3.5 yrs Nationality : Indian
Speak 5 languages – Hindi, Marathi, English, Thai & French.
Work Experience - 3.5 years as an SAP (world’s leading ERP software) consultant for a multinational company (Top 50 in Fortune's Global ranking) in Bangkok, Thailand.
Job Description – business process consultant for customer relationship management and sales & distribution, implement best practices etc.
Started off as a trainee and currently hold the position of a deputy team lead, managing a team of 4 consultants. Acting mentor for a junior mentee. Played leading roles in various internal projects and for external customers as well.
Key Highlights during tenure - Received an award for the best project in emerging market category from the company.
Worked closely with the in-house sales team to build up a portfolio for a new line of IT services. The proposal was accepted by senior management and the new line of IT services is currently being offered by the company to the external market.
Undergrad degree (Thailand)- Bachelors in Telecommunications and Electronics engineering, First Honors with a GPA of 3.95
Key Highlights - Received an award for one of the best engineering students in the year 2006 from HM the Prince of Thailand on behalf of the Engineering Institute of Thailand.
Received merit scholarships continuously for 5 semesters.
Graduated at the age of 18.
Took the GRE with a score of 1300.... Yet to take the GMAT, but I expect a score of 700-750.
Voluntary experience includes active participation in a community (since the past 4 years) to develop morality. Aided in conducting classes & workshops for university and school students to promote awareness and prevent addiction to drugs and alcohol.
Post MBA plan - work post MBA to practice my skills - esp in sales- and a build a team to help me start my own organization which, I plan, will work to help benefit education systems in developing countries.
Target unis - IESE, LBS, RSM, NBS, SAID, CASS
I am hoping my age comes as an advantage...??

Hello,
Your age certainly will make you unique in admissions officers' eyes. My first reaction when I saw your age was, "Oh, too young," but it's interesting to me that you already have 3+ years of FT work experience. I think the way to use this to your advantage will be to present yourself as the applicant who's already very mature for being 21 years old, rather than the applicant who graduated very early because he's so smart. Admissions officers definitely do care about "book smarts," but they care at least as much (probably even more so) about maturity and professional potential.
Sounds like you have had very good job progression, which will help you a lot. When presenting these things, always be sure to talk about what you did and what you learned, more than what awards or recognitions you have won. In terms of community service, I'm a little unclear on what YOU did vs. what you just participated in... The former is what admissions officers really care about. If you're light in this area (e.g., being able to point to something you created or did to improve your community), that could be something to spend another year focusing on, before you apply.
Overall, assuming you have enough community service to help demonstrate your leadership and maturity, and assuming your GMAT goes well and you can get GREAT letters of recommendation, I expect you will be competitive at all of these programs.
