I am applying to BSchools for next fall, and am wondering if I need to give the TOEFL.
I am an Indian Native, but also have a MS from the University of Colorado (2 year course). Hopefully this should negate the need for TOEFL by (most) BSchools.
Please confirm. Also would I have to contact every school I want to apply to as to their requirements?

Contact the schools individually. You're are probably right that you don't need to take it because of your MS, but double check.

It is wise to check each school since some schools base the requirement to take the TOEFL solely on the language of instruction of the undergraduate degree. Consider Yale SOM:

"If the primary language of instruction at your undergraduate college was not English, you must submit a TOEFL score."

Guys - I have the same question as well.

I plan to apply to H/S/W and each of them says "TOEFL is required if you did not get a undergraduate degree from an English speaking university".

My undergraduate school in India taught everything in English - and so do 99% of the Engineering schools there. Makes me wonder who from India would need TOEFL then??

English speaking universities are schools within a country with English as its native language. So I believe that Indian universities are not among those mentioned in the application requirements. However I encourage you to make contact to admission office of your target university and ask them if it works for you.

As long as your school's official language of instruction is English, then it does not matter where that school is located: there is no TOEFL requirement.

Different programs have different requirements regarding the TOEFL. Each school's FAQ pages explain who needs the TOEFL and who doesn't. Columbia, for example, does require Indians to take the TOEFL. Here's their explanation why:

For example, if you earned a degree from an institution in India where the language of instruction was English, you still must take the TOEFL or the PTE, since according to the Indian government the primary official language in India is Hindi.

And UC Berkeley Haas feels similarly:

The UC Berkeley Graduate Division requires that all applicants who received their degrees from countries in which the official language is not English submit official evidence of English Language Proficiency. This requirement applies to applicants from Bangladesh, Burma, Nepal, India, Pakistan, Latin America, the Middle East, North Africa, the People's Republic of China, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia, and most European countries. This requirement also applies to US citizens who received their undergraduate degrees in these countries or regions. Only applicants who have completed a full year of US university-level coursework with a grade of B or better are exempt from this requirement.

In short, if you are considering pursuing an MBA and you were educated outside the US, it might make sense to take the TOEFL just to have a score handy instead of finding out on the application deadline that you needed one!
