Hi,
I would really appreciate an honest profile evaluation. My 2 target schools are Wharton (feels like a stretch) and Kellogg. I graduated from a top 5 public university with a 3.45 GPA in Computer Science and Engineering. My current official gmat score is a 700, but I am retaking in 2 weeks and expect between a 720-730 based on my recent practice tests.
I currently have 5 years of work experience with a big 4 consulting firm in their technology and enterprise risk practice. Recently, I switched over to a mid-sized management consulting firm (ranked top 5 by consulting magazine for last 5 years) and am working for in the healthcare strategy practice. I do have some interesting accomplishment including ones related to business/practice development and also led a very succesfful recruiting initiative while at the Big 4 firm.
My short term goal post mba is to end up working for a leading strategy consulting firm within the healthcare practice. A particular area of interest is developing technology strategies for large healthcare organization and regions with the overall goal of making health care more effective and cost efficient. Longer term, I expect to take on a strategic leadership role for a large healthcare organization or even a public legislative role.
As you can see, I have not listed any extracurriculars in my profile. Unfortunately, I don't have any really worth mentioning since I graduated college. In college, I held a leadership role for a large student organization (2,000 plus members).
What do you think? Is Wharton too much of a stretch? How about Kellogg? Any other schools worth looking at based on my profile?
Thanks!
