Hi Linda,
Would you please help to evaluate whether my target schools are a good fit for me? Also could you suggest any other good schools for me?
Nationality: Indian
Age: 29
Education: Bachelor of Technology from a state university, major in Electronics & Telecommunications
GPA: 58% ( quite low ). But I ranked 4000 on an All-India level Technical examination called GATE although my ranking was not enough for the IITs
GMAT: 710 ( 3rd attempt )
Working Exp: 7+ years by now
Current Position: Technical Group Leader in the no.1 software products firm( Israel based firm ) of the Telecom Business/Operational Support Systems domain. Previously worked with the 6th largest IT firm in India.
Post-MBA: strategy consulting( mostly IT based ).
International Exposure: 4 months in Kuala Lampur, 1 month in Jakarta, 2 weeks in Cyprus.
Extra Curriculars: Interested in adventure sports. Am a certified Paragliding pilot, have rafted in major rivers of India. Played soccer at the University level.
Very much into photography esp wildlife. A couple of my photographs were exhibited in a wildlife photography exhibition organized by a major art gallery of Pune,India.
Member of the editorial board of the department newsletter in my current company. I was also member of the hostel mess committee during my under-grad days.
Target Schools: ISB,Darden,Cornell,McCombs
