25 by fall 2011, female, from the Philippines
Undergrad: Cum Laude / 3.5 GPA (translated from local grading system) from top Philippine university, took Business Administration
Undergrad EC's:
- Solid leadership progression in an internationally recognized student organization which promotes cross-cultural understanding and international professional internship exchanges (member all the way to president)
- Contributed to and lead outreach projects for some of our other college-based academic orgs
- Participated & won inter-school marketing competitions
GMAT: 700 (46Q, 42V)
Work Experience: 4 years by fall 2011 in a large multinational petroleum company. Hired as a management trainee and majority of my experience has been in B2B account management, having grown the business considerably vs. prior years and having been recognized (via actual award & competition standards) among peers in the Asia Pacific region.
EC's after school:
None outside of employing organization but adhoc activities on top of my job role include:
- business unit representative in the company's Diversity & Inclusiveness Council + trainer for new hires in special topics on D&I
- officer of work-life balance group at workbase where most employees are assigned away from home for whom we organize special interest activities
Career/MBA goal:
Career transition into brand marketing with short-term goal of gaining practical exposure in FMCG and eventually taking up marketing management roles in Luxury & Retail or Consumer Electronics
