Please assess my profile for MBA admission for Fall 2011.
Undergrad: Engineering (top 15 schools, India)
Undergrad GPA: 4.0 (Overall distinction)
Grad: Diploma in Economics from London School of Economics
Grad GPA: 3.0
GMAT:740 (Q50,V40)
GRE:1550 (Q800,V750)
Work Ex: 2.5 years SAP IT consultant, 1 year Business development consultant at a public sector engineering consultancy (Water and power sector consulting).
Community Service: Greenpeace volunteer, founder and team leader of local environment club, Volunteer at local hospital.
Target schools: CMU-Tepper (Application Submitted), Penn State-Smeal, NUS (Singapore), Emory, Duke, Texas-McCombs, Texas A&M.
Will it be too ambitious for me to apply to Ross, Kellogg?

Your profile contains all the core essentials for a competitive application to any or all of the schools you named. I do not think it is a stretch for you to also consider Ross or Kellogg. Your biggest challenge will simply be to stand out amongst your peers, since your applicant pool is a large one. In everything you put together in your applications, ask yourself, "how does this compare with someone applying from a similar background?" If 1000 people could say the same thing you are saying in your essays, you have not personalized them enough. Remember, you are the only person in the world with your exact experience, so you need to draw out the interesting details about your accomplishments and relate your vision in a compelling, passionate way. Good luck!

I am working on the essays and trying to find points in my personal and professional life that will make my application unique.
