27 Years old at time of MBA initiation
GMAT 730 (Q47, V44, AWA5.5)
83 out of 100 top 3 Mexican University
Work experience:
Entrepreneur - Logistics Services Company (Warehousing, Import/Export, Planning and coordination of logistics routes)
since March 2006. More than 20 employees. More than 20 clients.
Entrepreneur - Transportation Services Company (Trucking Services) since September 2010. It is a complement for my Logistics Services Company
Extracurricular - Worked with a foundation for 3 years now coordinating fund and medicine raisers throughout my community.
Soccer Player - Varsity Soccer at university my freshman year.
Additional Info - I started my fisrt company while I was still studying because of personal reasons. My grades did suffer a bit and I took less courses on several semesters, taking 1 year longer to graduate.
Post MBA Goals - Expand my business within Mexico. Expand its range of services. I want to get into railroad and maritime services also. On the long run, I want to get into social entrepreneurship.
Round 2 target schools - Booth, Kellogg, Yale, Wharton, Tuck, Ross, HBS, LBS

Thanks for reaching out. The short answer is yes, you have a great shot ... with one caveat. You will have to sell Why an MBA. I understand that you want to take it back with you to Mexico to continue to build upon your entrepreneurial efforts, but the pressure will be on you to showcase a lot more detail than that. Entrepreneurship is a tricky path to an MBA when it comes to the application process. Pie-in-the-sky dreamers who appear to think Entrepreneurship is French for "I don't want a boss" don't fare well because the admissions committee has little confidence that an MBA is going to be the specific ingredient necessary to launch these efforts. On the other end of the spectrum, entrepreneurs who are already successfully launching businesses sometimes are met with the "does he really need to put life on hold for two years to get a piece of paper?" line of questioning. Those who have fared best are conventional folks who have put in some serious work on the side and who need the MBA experience to completely reset their paths.
All of that said, it is far, far better to be on the "does he really need this?" side of the coin, rather than that "come on, give me a break" side. But you really have to detail how this is all going to work. In fact, here is my advice: go read the essay questions for the Wharton EMBA program before you even crack a Rd 2 app. That Wharton application will basically ask you "what's the plan here?" And it's relevant for you. What happens to your business? Do they run on rails at this point? Can you step away for two years? Have you in fact maxed out what you can contribute to the big picture which is why you are pursuing an MBA? Do you want to grow the business? Start new businesses? What knowledge/network/pedigree is necessary?
As you can see, this is the crux of the matter.
Everything else will come down to school fit, showcasing of key themes (since employability won't be a factor for you at all, the search will center on how much value you add to the class/cohort/group), and just strong quality. You will also want to showcase discipline and maturity to really hammer home that your potential (in and out of the classroom) exceeds your existing academic performance.

Thanks a lot for your answer! It was definitely enlightening. I really do think that an MBA is the next step in my career, and I have been working very hard to leave everything ready so that my absence doesn't affect my companies. I do have to get my story straight...
I have one question? Regarding this list, I have decided to drop HBS and LBS. Correct me if I'm wrong, but HBS is a long shot and LBS doesn't really offer what I want in a program.
I have considered adding Haas? Is this the right decision?
