Hi,
I'm IT Indian Male having gmat score 710 and 6 yrs of experience. To hike my salary I changed 6 companies in last 6 year. Do you think that will be a major disadvantage?

Kindly suggest.

Unless you can show consistent growth in responsibilities, I think it will be a negative. If every job change was accompanied by a salary and responsibility increase, it probably won't hurt too much, but it could cause schools to question hire-ability upon graduation. Would future employers want to hire someone who moves around as much as you have moved around?

Thanks for the reply. Should I address anywhere in the application/ interviews about this or I keep my mouth shut unless someone asks me about the same?

I think you should:
1) Show through your resume and essays that the job changes, or at least the most recent ones resulted in increased responsibility and professional growth. Don't do so as an excuse for the job changes, but do demonstrate that growth.
2) Do be prepared, especially in non-blind interviews, for questions about the frequency of your job changes.
3) If asked in an interview to "walk me through your resume," emphasize again how each position was a step up the ladder. Obviously increased salary would be a factor, but make sure you point out the increased responsibility.
