Hello Gmatclubbers/Consultants,

I need your advice.I plan to visit B-schools before I start the App process. Could you please help me answer the following questions?

1. Is March -April good time to visit the following B-schools (Booth/Kellogg/Kelley)?
2. Is there a thread on GmatClub that discusses/explains what to expect on a school visit? I searched the forums and could not find anything. If there is already some discussion, I would appreciate your help if post the link.
3. Do do most people co-ordinate their school visits with the school?
4. Am I expectd to study for the class I plan to sit when Iam visiting the school?
5. How to you dress (formal/casual) when you visit B-schools?

I know some of the questions may sound dumb. But I want to prepare for my visits and create a good impression. Thanks.

-Goals

1. You should do class visits when the classes are in session. Most of the schools have their academic calendar on their website, so do check to ensure that you are not visiting when the school is closed. Most of the class visits are scheduled in Fall and continues till December and the application season.
2. Class visit will usually include an informational about the school, a class visit, guided tour to the school and interaction with current students.
3. Yes. Most people coordinate the class visits and it is always recommended to do so. You definitely want adcom to know that you are coming.
4. No. Just sit in the class and observe.
5. Formal.

Thanks for your inputs bizschoolprep.

One more question - Are the visits one -on-one with the adcom or there are group of future applicants scheduled for a school visit/guided tour for a particular day?

Group, if you are going during the peak season (around a month before and during the application season).
