Hi everyone,
Please evaluate my profile for top 15 MBA programs. I did horrible on my GMAT last year, but I am ready to take it again. I am targeting 700+, but please let me know if that will be sufficient to get into top 15 with my current profile.
26/M/Asian
3.41 gpa, cum laude, computer engineering from BU. 4 year full tuition scholarship.
4 years at ibm global technology services as an IT consultant - worked on over 8+ projects to date in automotive, banking, IT, health care, and energy industries. services i provide in the projects are system architecture design, performance testing and tuning, implementations, troubleshooting, change management, global resource management. some are client facing, some are remote.
EC: not a whole lot, as my job requires extensive travel at times. volunteer at ibm events whenever i can. last one was providing help during a mock interview workshop to high school students. of course i have personal activities i enjoy as well, but i don't think those are relevant since i am not part of any teams or anything.
post mba goals short term: project/product management at a tech co, or operations/strategy at tech co. long term: hi tech VC
Ideally I would want to shoot for top 10, but given my profile, I feel that I might have to extend to top 15, and anything past that I feel isn't worth my money.
Realistically, what are my chances and what GMAT should I target?
thx
