Hi Bryant, thanks for responding. I do get your point. It is not about the individual applicant, it is about the individual applicant and everyone else.
However, to clarify: No, I am not planning to apply after 2 years, I am planning to apply after 4 years. However when I apply it will be at my 3rd year, during which I will not have yet been a "senior associate". I guess I should rephrase my question: how important is having senior/managerial work experience by the time I submit my application? If it is important, I am considering either killing myself for early promotion or jumping ship to another firm that will provide that senior experience. These are big personal decisions for me so I am seeking any insight anyone may have. By the time I begin matriculating, for sure I will have been promoted (or kicked out of the firm) so that is not an issue, my question is whether I should have senior-level experience by the time I send in my applications.
