Hello.
I live and study in Belarus, which is in Eastern Europe. Pursuing a five year degree (currently shifted to 4th year) in Economics at a top Belarusian university with current average of 7.5/10. The course of studies provides solid theoretical background not only in economic-oriented subjects, but also in psychology, philosophy and other extra courses, which might be a plus I suppose. Did not take the GMAT yet,but did 650 without preparation.
Fluent in Russian, Belarusian(frankly speaking it is close to Russian, but stating an extra language is never useless), English and moderate in German
Currently employed part-time at Belarusian leading investment company, local though, as a junior analyst at investment banking dept. Thus will have 2 years of part-time work experience after graduating.
Extracurricular: founder of business-case solving club at my University, 1st place at University business project competition, 3 months of summer work and travel USA exchange program, also plan to do volunteering next summer, during 1st year of studying opened an online watch store, later successfully sold it.
My aim is NOT MBA, but MiM LBS or Msc at LSE with a career focus on IB.
But here are the weaknesses as I see:
1)I wonder if they accept people from Belarus, which is quite exotic in terms of admission. How would they treat my origin
2)My University is not a top performer in terms of research and reputation due to the fact that Belarus is...well,lets say not "open" enough
3)My experience is at a local company, not a worldwide reputed miltinational, though the deals we make are significant, like IPOs,M&A's and consultancy
4)I do not have exchange semesters *see the end of point 2
What are the perspectives of my being admitted to the programes i listed before? My best choice is London, but Mannheim BS master in management and HEC are very attractive too.
