Hi Linda, thank you for your reply. The only reason why I was asking this seemingly "dumb" question is because I see an overgeneralization pertaining to indian applicants in the sense that they have to be very competitive because they are applying against a very competitive category of their own. Hence my reason for asking whether there was such a dinstinct category for my own background. However, I definitely agree with you not to get hung up on such matters in the application process. Thank you again.

I didn't mean to imply in any way that you question was dumb, and am sorry if that's how my reply came off. Indeed for Indian applicants, it is most important that they succeed in distinguishing themselves as individuals. I am glad to read, however, that you are not going to get hung up on labels. That was really my point.
