Dear Accepted,

I have now nailed all my essays. Big Q - what to do with my current employer letter of recommendation.

My current boss thinks highly of me and is enthusiastic to help me get in. Problem - he is a very poor writer. He is German, and English does not come easy in writing, he misses out basic stuff, cannot connect sentences, the reaons why I do almost all his drafting in the office.

My previous employer is Australian, writes beautiefully and we kept close contact since I left. However, he will only be able to describe me 3 years ago.

What to do?
You have a few choices. You could have him write the letter and send it to a local editor just to fix up the writing. You could have a different senior staff member with better English write about your work. Or you could go with a different letter, but if it doesn't share details of high-level impact, then that letter will not carry great weight. My vote is on the local editor.
