Berkeley's middle-80% GMAT range is approximately 650 to 750. We generally tell applicants that that they should at least be within a school's middle-80% range, so if you have a 650, then it's not unreasonable for you to apply there. Note, that your score would be low compared to most of your classmates at Haas, but you can get in with a 650.

700 seems awfully high. I wouldn't tell anyone that they need a 700 to get into any school...

thanks!! 700 is awfully high! Well there is a tiny relief in working towards a 650 score.
