Education
Undergraduates: 3.2 GPA in Electrical Engineering and Economics from Top 20 Private School
- Only 1 of the 2 who double majored in the school in both engineering and liberal arts
- Low GPA due to intense work load (42+ credits over 4 years)
- However GPA showed a continuous upward trend (ended senior year with an average of 3.7+)
Graduate: Masters in Electrical Engineering from an Ivy League School, full scholarship. Expected graduation 2013
Work Experience
1 year working for a healthcare consulting firm in Boston, excellent reviews and possibly recommendations
Lots of internships focusing on healthcare and private equity in developing markets.
I am very interested in healthcare and energy and have lots of experience to back it up.
Leadership Experience
Started multiple clubs in college - political action committees, sports club. Was editor of financial publication, P.R chair for religious and professional organizations. I started my own business in school, successfully ran it for 8 months before deciding to focus on studies.

I am not entirely convinced that you are ready to enroll in an MBA program: with only 1 year of professional experience in consulting, it is probably going to be hard to prove that you know how to use influence, knowledge, and business acumen to shape operations. Because you mention extensive internships, activities, and a startup of your own, I do believe your chances are better than a typical applicant with one year of experience.
I am still on the fence about the GRE since I find that the admissions committees just aren't as fluent in them yet. If you do decide to wait a year to apply, by all means do take the GMAT. You might also want to add Duke to your list of target programs as well.
