Indian/M/33
Specialized IT design and development (Sr. Software Engineer)
(I believe I am in the over represented group. How can I mitigate this factor?)
GMAT: 670 (Q49, V32) (Should I retake GMAT?)
Target : Chicago Booth, Kellogg (Part-Time) (I am a Chicagoan!)
Education:
Undergrad: Comp Sc. (India) - 75% (Not sure how does this translate into GPA)
Grad: MS Comp Sc (US) (GPA - 3.6)
Extra Co-curricular:
During the MS program, I published research papers and book reviews. Also, I was a Teaching Assistant as well as a Research Assistant. (This area is a bit weak for me.)
Work Ex: 6+ core IT experience solving complex problems.
Why MBA?
I have extensive knowledge and experience in core computer science. Business knowledge will nicely complement what I already know. Also, I work very closely with the CEO of the current company. On a day-to-day basis I am involved in every aspect of the organization. I feel an MBA will give me the necessary tools to expand my influence within the current company. In the long term, I plan to grow up the ladder in big technology firm.
thanks,
NG
