Hi Stacy,
I am facing a dilemma of choosing between 2 year MBA program at Rotman and Maryland Smith.
I would briefly mention my past experience and the career I want to pursue post MBA. I am working with a MNC to implement digital-marketing/e-commerce initiatives as an analyst. I want to concentrate on Technology strategy/consulting in the MBA program and aim at returning to the same industry post-MBA. Till now, I have received admits from Smith & Rotman but I am unsure which way I am headed.
Cost-wise, I have a hefty scholarship + GA at Smith but none at Rotman. Rotman seems very expensive with 2-year expenses at around $120 k.
Location-wise, I do not have a preference of working in US or Canada post-MBA.
Curriculum-wise, I think Smith is very strong in Technology consulting.
I seek your opinion on the points I mentioned above.
I am also concerned about the ranking slump of Maryland Smith in the recent years(which I think is because of bad placements). I am not sure whether I should consider this while deciding between the schools.
