1) Brief description of your full-time work experience: 1 year in software QA engineering, 1 year in product management / engineering, and 1 year in financial services consulting.
2) Your GMAT: No GMAT score, but my GRE is 1520. (800Q, 720V) Writing was 4.0.
3) College info: The name of the college, your GPA or grade average, your major, year of graduation. For any graduate degrees, please provide the same info. If you grades are low, please indicate if there were extenuating circumstances:
Undergraduate: Vriginia Tech, 3.79 GPA in mechanical engineering. Graduated in 2007.
Graduate: Stanford, 3.75 GPA in industrial engineering. Graduated in 2009.
4) Significant college and post-college extra-curricular activities or community service, especially leadership experience.
No significant leadership experience other than leading some initiatives from within the company
5) Important certifications like CFA, CPA, FSA, or CA.
Nothing significant
6) Your target programs.
Sloan, Wharton, Kellogg, Columbia, Fuqua
7) Your post-MBA goal.
Either management consulting or business development in technology / engineering firms

Your basic stats are great but I am concerned that your job hopping may not have given you an opportunity to prove yourself and advance in responsibility. The financial services consulting role sounds like the perfect place for you to shine for the next year or so before applying. Look for opportunities to lead and make an impact both on your firm and on its clients to distinguish yourself professionally and you should be able to prove to the likes of MIT, Wharton, Kellogg, Columbia, and Duke that you are an ideal candidate.

In regards to the timing of applying, if I choose to apply this fall, I will have 1 year of financial services consulting by the time of my application and 2 years by the time of my (hopeful) matriculation. Do you think this year is too early for me to consider applying?
