Hello everyone, I am starting this thread in the hope that others will provide their key inputs on the below.
I am someone with 15 years international experience currently in senior management in operations planning to move to Canada and get a good job in Consulting, Operations or General Management.
Planning to do an EMBA from Canada (as Canadian Employers give more weighting to Canadian MBAs) and have the following choices.
1. Richard Ivey (Accepted into the program)
Program Length - 18 Months
Course Cost - 95000 CAD
2. Schulich-Kellogg (Accepted into the program)
Program Length - 18 months
Course Cost - 110000 CAD (Dual Degree + Airfare to Chicago + Full Lodge and Board on all residential sessions available)
3. Rotmans (Accepted into the program)
Program Length - 13 Months
Course Cost - 88,000 CAD (Discount of 10,000 available if paid before a certain date).
In addition, I also have an option to study 10 months at INSEAD, France and do my EMBA from there.
I am very very confused and wanted some help from others on which is the best course to do..
This is what I have picked up from forums so far !
1. Schulich is marketing vertical college and also relies on heavy marketing to push its rank up in various MBA rankings. The calibre of students is not the best as there are many people who cant even converse well. Interviews are not mandatory. The program is damn good though...with the global, Kellogs and Schulich's electives.
2. Rotman seems to be good but during the interview, the professor hinted to me to keep looking (Amazing hint !!!). The discounted fees seems like a bait to get students.
3. Richard Ivey seems to be best in terms of employer perceptions but the course content is not some unique one.
I have also a choice to study at INSEAD (Already accepted) and then move to Canada to live there. Is INSEAD at all recongnised in Canada or it is worthless doing a course in INSEAD.
I have purposely left Queen off the chart as I dont like their boardroom learning method. I would prefer to study in classroom rather than boardroom connected all over.
Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated.
