My opinion is that schools like Duke or Kellogg would be a stretch for you. Always good to aim high, but you should also have some back-up programs where you'll be more competitive, if it's a priority for you to attend this fall.

You are outside the range for both Duke and esp Kellogg. This is not to say you'll be rejected without a careful review, but you'll need to demonstrate something very special in order to be admitted, such as stellar career progress to date, exceptionally crisp articulation of your career goals, or amazing leadership potential.

Your GMAT score, while not impressive, is also not going to be a huge concern, as long as you can articulate these other variables. Unless you feel you can improve that score by 40 or 50 points, I'd focus more on your essays than retaking the test.

Hope this helps,

Hi Rakshit,

Your profile looks interesting as there aren't many applicants from India who offer experience of automotive sector with exposure to customer service, vendor and distribution network and other related fields.

But your GMAT score makes your candidature weak. Also, you haven't mentioned any extra currics.

At this score you can target

Emory
Texas Mccombs ( good for operations and supply chain)
USC Marshall
Purdue ( good for operations and supply chain)
Kelley Indiana ( good for operations and supply chain)
Fisher Ohio ( good for operations and supply chain)

If you can take your score to 690 or 700 you can then include ISB, NUS, Oxford Said, Cambridge Judge, CMU Tepper, Cornell and even schools such as Ross ( known for operations) to the list.

Feel free to contact us for any queries.
