NJ: your GMAT is a great score and demonstrates plenty of aptitude for b-school, but will be below average for your applicant pool of Indian Male IT. For this reason, you may consider retaking if you think you can break the 700 barrier. Even then, however you will still need to focus on how you stand out amongst other applicants with similar attributes. Right away, I think your work experience, particularly from a leadership perspective, will be well regarded. Also, the fact you have substantial experience outside your home country will bode well. In the end, it's really about crafting a compelling narrative that convinces the adcoms you are ready to leverage your past experience with the MBA to achieve an inspiratoinal post MBA vision. Let us know if you need some guidance to that end. As for schools, I always encourage people to go for the "best" school they can get into for which they feel the culture and curriculm fit their own profile. You can best determine this by visiting the schools but if you are unable to do so, do some thorough research, paying close attention to which schools are visited by your targeted post MBA recruiters. Avoid the schools who eschew older candidates such as HBS and Stanford. Your profile is probably a better match for schools in the top 20, but probably more in the 10-20 range.
