Your work will definitely be considered as a full time work if you are planning to do a distance learning course.
You haven’t mentioned your profile in brief otherwise we would have let you know that according to your profile if finance would be benefiting you in future. MS Finance is a good course and can add an additional advantage to your career. But again it depends what profile you are holding right now.
