Below is my background info:

- 29 Years old Male
- Graduated from UT Austin Business School with a GPA of 3.68
- Work in Strategy/Financial consulting at PWC in NY for 7 Yrs
- GMAT - Taken multiple times, started with 550--took it 4 times and up to a 670 most recently (persistence!)
- I have the CPA and CFA
- Good Volunteer work (both in US and Pakistan) with WHO and UN.
- Originally from Pakistan

I am targeting a top 10-12 school in north east to do asset management. I know my GMAT score isn't spectacular, but do I have a chance? Also, which schools in particular-- would love goto Tuck/NYU/Columbia/Yale.

Or is my best option to retake the GMAT, I can potentially get a 700-710 but probably not more given my practice tests...

Please advise! Thanks!

Persistence is impressive! You do have a chance given your Pakistani background, 7 years at PWC and strong GPA at UT. And your CPA and CFA.

Your chances would be better at your target programs with a higher GMAT. how confident are you that you can raise it 20 or more points?

You can take one of two approaches:

1. Given everything else, apply with what you've got and then see what happens.
2. If you are confident you can raise that GMAT, then retake it and hopefully apply with something higher.

It's really a personal decision.

Best,
Linda

Before I respond can you tell me your best score on each section of the exam in percentiles?

Thanks,
