Hi,
I wrote GMAT this summer did reasonably (750+).
Unfortunately I can't apply to schools for another year /two years or
so. I already have an MS and already 4 years of experience in
research positions. A consequence of job has been that I don't have
customer side experience and don't have strong leadership stories
to tell.
I don't have volunteer work experience - if I start something
now it will look glaringly "for the purpose".
My general interests are in operations or in public policy. I would
love to attend a top school ..
In extra-curriculars, I have captained my undergrad univ. in
two sports and I do climb as a hobby(mostly snow - little rock).
What can I do in next year or so that I can hope for a school
like Stanford , Kellogs etc.
Would I completely lose the time that I spend at work - I think
the nature of work I will do post MBA would probably be same
if I get MBA now vs. if I start in two years ? Is there I can
do for two years or so - that allow me to reap the rewards post
MBA ?
