I would not be overly concerned about how admissions interprets your pre-mba work experience. A few years ago, we advised a candidate who had five felony counts (including breaking and entering) and when put in proper perspective on his application, he had great success (albeit a bit spotty). While he was admitted to Wharton, UCLA, and Kellogg, he was rejected from NYU, USC and Haas. I also worked with a candidate who worked in the gaming industry and he also experienced spotty acceptance - admitted to Yale, Ross, Kellogg and Duke and rejected from Darden, Georgetown and Cornell.
The take-away from this posting is that you need to cast your net a bit wider than you normally would -- but my bet is that with a well prepared application you will be well received and have many options from which to choose from.
